How credits work
Simple, predictable cost
per sheet.
Credits are consumed per sheet reviewed. The depth you choose controls how thorough the review is and how many credits it costs.
| Review depth | Credits per sheet | Comments per sheet | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Review | 2 cr / sheet | 5-8 comments | Fast critical-issues scan before a redline or site visit |
| Standard Review | 3 cr / sheet | 10-15 comments | Routine first-pass review before PE stamp |
| Thorough Review | 4 cr / sheet | 18-25 comments | Full pre-submission review or complex multi-trade sets |
Credits are deducted when a review starts. If the AI service fails or returns an error, credits are automatically refunded to your account.

FAQ
Drawing review FAQ.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire. Buy when you have a busy season and use them whenever you need them. There's no time limit and no monthly minimum.
Does Callout replace a PE review?
No. Callout is an AI-assisted first-pass tool. All findings must be verified by a licensed professional engineer before use in construction documents. Callout is designed to catch the obvious issues so your PE can focus on the ones that need engineering judgment, not to replace that judgment.
What file types does Callout accept?
PDF only. Multi-sheet drawing sets, single sheets, and multi-file uploads are all supported. Maximum 100 MB and 50 sheets per review session.
What jurisdictions are supported?
Callout supports 33+ model codes and national standards including IMC 2024/2021, IBC 2024/2021, IPC 2024/2021, IECC 2024/2021, NFPA 13 2022, NFPA 72 2022, NFPA 101, ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, 55 and 15, ASCE 7-22, ACI 318-19, AISC 360-22, NEC 2023, and more. These model codes apply across most US jurisdictions. Callout does not check local amendments, state-specific modifications, or non-US codes.
How accurate are the code citations?
Callout cites exact code sections (e.g. IMC 2024 §607.5.1) for every finding. Callout is designed to never cite vague references. For newer code editions (2024 cycle), section numbers may have shifted from prior editions, so always verify citations against your published copy. The AI calibration feature helps improve accuracy over time as you accept and reject findings.
What is the Firm Standards Library?
The Firm Standards Library lets you add your own firm-specific requirements, things like minimum equipment access clearances, duct leakage testing protocols, or house standards for schedules and notes. Callout checks for these on every review automatically, in addition to the selected codes.
Can I export my review results?
Yes. Every review can be exported to CSV or Excel. The Excel export includes the AI summary, severity breakdown, and full comment details including PE decisions and notes. Review history is also exportable from the History tab.
Is my drawing data secure?
Drawing PDFs are sent to Anthropic's AI for analysis and are not stored on Callout's servers. Review results and metadata are stored in your account. You can delete your review history at any time from the History tab.
What's the difference between Quick, Standard, and Thorough reviews?
Quick Review (2 credits/sheet) focuses on critical life-safety and code compliance issues, ideal for a fast pre-submission sanity check. Standard Review (3 credits/sheet) covers a broader range including coordination issues and documentation gaps. Thorough Review (4 credits/sheet) is the most comprehensive pass, catching everything from permit-blocking deficiencies down to advisory-level best practices. All three depths cite exact code sections.
Can I review multi-discipline drawing sets in one session?
Yes. Upload your full multi-trade set (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural) and select all applicable codes. Callout reviews every sheet against every selected code in a single pass. Comments are tagged by sheet number and discipline so you can filter and export by trade.
How does the AI calibration feature work?
Accept, reject, or edit findings and Callout learns your preferences. The more you review, the better it matches your engineering judgment. You can view and manage your review data from the Training tab.
What happens if I run out of credits mid-review?
Credits are calculated before the review starts based on your sheet count and review depth. If you don't have enough credits, the Run AI Review button is disabled and shows the shortfall. You can purchase more credits at any time without losing your uploaded files or code selections. Just buy a pack and click Run.
Can I share review reports with my team or clients?
Yes. Every completed review in the History tab has a Share button that generates a unique read-only link. Anyone with the link can view the full report, including severity breakdown, AI summary, all comments with PE decisions, and export to CSV or Excel, without needing a Callout account. You can revoke the link at any time.
How long does a review take?
Most reviews complete in under 60 seconds. Quick reviews on small sheet sets (1 to 5 sheets) typically finish in 10 to 20 seconds. Thorough reviews on larger sets (20+ sheets) can take up to 2 minutes. You can close the tab and come back later. Your results will be waiting in the History tab.
Do I need to create an account to try Callout?
Yes, but it only takes a few seconds. Sign up with your email and you get 50 free credits instantly, no credit card required. That's enough to review up to 25 sheets. You can purchase more credits anytime if you like what you see.
Do you support SSO or SAML?
SSO/SAML is available on Enterprise plans. Contact hello@callout.app for setup.
Can I deploy Callout for my whole firm?
Yes. Callout supports organizations with shared credit pools, role-based access, firm-wide standards, audit logging, and an ROI dashboard. Custom credit volumes and enterprise agreements are available. Email hello@callout.app.
Where is my data stored?
All application data is processed and stored in the United States. Drawings are processed in memory and never stored. Review results are encrypted at rest.
