Terms of Service
Last updated: March 28, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Callout ("the Service"), operated by Callout Software LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Callout," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Callout is an AI-assisted construction drawing review tool. The Service analyzes uploaded PDF drawing sets and generates findings related to potential code compliance issues, coordination conflicts, and design deficiencies.
3. Not Engineering Advice
The Service does not constitute engineering advice, a stamped engineering review, or a professional opinion of any kind. All findings generated by Callout are preliminary and informational only. You must have all findings reviewed, verified, and approved by a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) before use in any construction documents, permit applications, or related professional activities. Callout is a first-pass review aid, not a substitute for licensed engineering judgment.
4. No Warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. CALLOUT MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OF ANY AI-GENERATED FINDINGS. CODE INTERPRETATIONS MAY BE INCORRECT, INCOMPLETE, OR INAPPLICABLE TO YOUR JURISDICTION OR PROJECT. YOU USE THE SERVICE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CALLOUT SOFTWARE LLC, ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN AI-GENERATED FINDINGS, MISSED CODE VIOLATIONS, INCORRECT CODE CITATIONS, OR DECISIONS MADE BASED ON SERVICE OUTPUT.
6. Jurisdiction and Code Applicability
Building codes, standards, and regulations vary by jurisdiction, project type, and applicable adoption date. Users are solely responsible for verifying which codes and versions apply to their specific project and location. Callout does not guarantee that its code library reflects the codes adopted in your jurisdiction.
7. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for: (a) ensuring you have the right to upload and process any drawings submitted to the Service; (b) verifying all findings with a licensed engineer before use; (c) maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials; and (d) complying with all applicable laws and professional licensing requirements in your jurisdiction.
8. Intellectual Property
(a) Callout Software. Callout and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, algorithms, AI methodologies, prompt architectures, calibration systems, user interface designs, and documentation. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to Callout's intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein. (b) Your Content. You retain all rights to drawings, documents, and other materials you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant Callout a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. Callout does not store Your Content after processing and does not use your drawings to train AI models. (c) AI-Generated Output. Review findings, comments, severity ratings, code citations, and suggested resolutions generated by the Service ("AI Output") are provided to you under a perpetual, non-exclusive license for your professional use. Callout retains the right to use anonymized, aggregated patterns from AI Output and your accept/reject/edit decisions to improve the Service, provided that no individual drawings, project details, or personally identifiable information are used or disclosed. (d) Feedback and Calibration Data. When you accept, reject, or edit AI findings, the resulting calibration data (decision type, category, severity, and optional notes) may be used to personalize the Service for your account and to improve the accuracy of future reviews. This data does not include your drawings or project-specific content. (e) Copyright. All content on the Callout website, application, and documentation is © 2026 Callout Software LLC. All rights reserved.
9. Credits and Payments
Credits are consumed when reviews are successfully completed. Credits are non-refundable except at Callout's sole discretion in cases of technical failure. Credits do not expire. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.
10. Termination
Callout reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at its sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@callout.app.
11. Changes to Terms
Callout may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email.
